She has also worked in the specialty coffee & foods consuming countries of Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, England and the United States. Ms. Utendorf-Hagen has presented several seminars in marketing and brand development at The World Specialty Coffee Congress in Venice, Italy, Coffee & Cocoa's International Conference in London, England, The Specialty Coffee Association Conference & Exhibition's since 1990 and CoffeeFest in Seattle, WA.
In February 2001, she founded her own consulting company Creative Concepts™ working with clients such as Mexican Chiapas Shade Grown Coffee a 25,000-grower cooperative sponsored by the Mexican government (Chiapas, Mexico), LavAzza with a new drive-through Cafe concept in the US (Turin, Italy), Pango Mango and Clou Du Mont (Puerto Rico), Aquatic Alternatives, Alternative Land & Forest Technologies, Bongo Billy's, Coldwell Banker - Bev Coggins Realty, Collegiate Peaks Forum Series, Colorado Gems - Krivaneks Jewelry, Essential Elements, South Main Downtown on the River Park, The Reserve at Cottonwood Creek, Reality Language - Lingo Lynx (Colorado), Barnie's Coffee & Tea Company,
In 2001, while consulting, Jamie met her now husband Hal Hagen and moved to the Buena Vista, Colorado area soon after. Hal's business, Aquatic Alternatives www.aquaticalt.com, took them to many remote areas throughout Colorado. The beauty of the majestic mountains, bountiful wildflowers and flowing rivers & streams inspired Jamie to create the Wildflower and Trout series of mugs. They were designed to remind each of us of the beauty and spirit that surrounds us in the mountains of the west.
